Your spare PC can mine $GLaDOS tonight. Boot the miner, give it your wallet, and walk away. The pool turns everything it earns into $GLaDOS and sends it straight to your wallet.

The GLaDOS miner's mining screen: the aperture mark on the left, and on the right $GLaDOS with the hashrate, a hashrate graph, shares, uptime, status LIVE and the wallet it pays
The miner, mining. Hashrate, shares, uptime, and the wallet it pays. Captured from the real ISO running in QEMU.

Start mining

  1. Hold 1,000,000 $GLaDOS in a wallet on Robinhood Chain. The contract address is on the token page.
  2. Download glados-1.3.9-miner.iso and check it against SHA256SUMS.
  3. Run it in QEMU, or boot a real PC from a USB stick.
  4. Give it your wallet. Type it at first boot, or put it in GLADOS/MINER.TXT on the stick. It remembers it from then on.
  5. Let it run. Your $GLaDOS shows up on its own.
The miner's first boot screen: MINE $GLaDOS, asking for the 0x wallet address, with the address typed into the field
First boot. Type your wallet and press Enter. That's the whole setup.
MINER.TXT open in a text editor, with a 0x wallet address on the worker line
Or skip the typing. Put your address on the worker line of GLADOS/MINER.TXT on the stick, and the PC starts mining the moment it boots.

Any x86-64 PC with UEFI works, roughly 2011 and newer. Turn Secure Boot off and plug in Ethernet, or share your phone's connection over USB.

How you get paid

  • Everyone gets the same. Each payout is split equally between every eligible wallet.
  • Who is eligible: wallets holding at least 1,000,000 $GLaDOS that did at least a quarter of the typical miner's work in that round. Miss a round and your work carries over to the next.
  • How often: as soon as the pot is big enough that fees stay under 10% of it. More miners means more frequent payouts.
  • Straight to your wallet on Robinhood Chain. There is nothing to claim.
All it ever needs is your address. The miner never asks for a key or a signature.
